Located on the San Juan River, the earth and rock-filled dam is nearly .75-miles long and 400 feet high and is the central amenity of Navajo Lake State Park. A popular outdoor activity is fishing at the Quality Waters of the lower San Juan River, located immediately downstream from the dam's spillway.
