Navajo Dam and Reservoir and State Park

Located on the San Juan River, the earth and rock-filled dam is nearly .75-miles long and 400 feet high and is the central amenity of Navajo Lake State Park. A water sports Mecca, Navajo Lake recreation includes boating, sailing, and paddle boarding. A popular outdoor activity is fishing at the Quality Waters of the lower San Juan River, located immediately downstream from the dam's spillway. Known for its USA Top 10 Fly Fishing destination you will encounter brown, rainbow and cutthroat trout, large-mouth bass, crappie, bluegill, catfish and kokanee salmon.
